Andrew Matusik
Andrew Matusik is an American photographer living and working in Los Angeles, California. With a double major in Fine Arts and Politics from Occidental College in Los Angeles, Matusik began his career as a photographer’s assistant for renowned European photographer Neil Kirk. Inspired by the brilliance of Steven Meisel, Nick Knight, Jerry Schatzberg, David Sims, and Richard Avedon, Matusik’s images are impactful and dramatic with a bold influence of color and depth of field. He enjoys manipulating the environment to create fictional realities he terms “equal negative positive relationships with space”. Matusik honed his talent to become one of today’s leading compositing photographers; “I live every aspect of my life with passion and purpose”. Matusik’s work exhibited in New York and Los Angeles and featured in leading magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Aperture, and Zink, among others.
